Really enjoying the deal I worked out with a local scrapyard! Just finished processing a 1500 pound load. Took a load of metal into them today and they had another 1000 pounds for me!
Lots of visible i series boards which i make less than a buck on after shipping from here but the big surprise....a bag full of obvious high telecom boards already pulled from whatever they were in!!! Alot of high peripheral stuff too.

Talked with the yard owner and he said if I take care of the shipping arrangements they'd have no problem with letting me ship a pallet load from the yard and loading it for me! My business keeps me busy and more than I'd ever make scrapping but this is turning into one of the best stress reliever hobbies that I could have and I get paid.

Local yards are great!

I helped one yard clear a 53' trailer (about half full) of all kinds of stuff, blanks, mercury switches, high Telcom, kids lost toys... They let me store sorted material on site and loaded it when I was ready to ship.

Another yard I've been working with for about 8 years, smaller not as much comes in for me, but they're amazing people and they also help me store and load shipments.
