Yeah, we skirt a pretty fine line. We actually started in New Hampshire, but got offered a very nice workshop space in NH.
Since we don't recycle any universal waste, we are a bit safe as there aren't any real guidelines for non universal waste. Even though electronics are considered universal waste, Maine doesn't require you get a license if it's not mercury or a specific sort of universal waste.
The only danger is doing older flat screens. We have a pretty tight margin, as we donate everything usable. We just had an iPad donation drive for low income families with kids, ended up handing out around 30 of them.
Hopefully it works out, and if not, we will back track to NH.
