Ohkay the technical nonsense explanation
The term slot processor is misleading. As far as Boardsort is concerned for recycling it gets the green fiber with metal category because it has pins instead of wedges or fingers
The board is still slot since those /pins/ in exact parallel rows fit into "slot b9" sockets/slots/jacks. The pins on the cpu card are gold plated steel. The pin-socket receptors are gold milled nickle. There's as much gold in those /whatever/ ports on the board as any other slot processor boards. I posted pictures of very similar b9 boards a few weeks back. Unless Boardsort says otherwise you're safe going that route.
Slot technology is not an industry standardised methodology.
Which is funny if your into tech history. Trying to figure out why a power switch goes as telco but a communication hub board is midgrade. ;) Eventually you just get the hang of it through trial and error and my first or second sale to Boardsort got me a harsh but extremely motivational email for Being off in categories.
Read. Ask questions. And make mistakes. We all do that here.
