I Am new to Board Sort and I wondering what these boards would be graded as? I have several telecom boards from some older Cisco Switches- would these be considered high grade telecom boards or some other grade?

Also does anyone have any recommendations for shipping- IE: best price per pound/size for shipping and what carrier is recommended?

Thanks for any info you have.

I cant comment on grading material will leave that up to lost or others with more knowledge on that subject. However on shipping it all depends on how much material you have. If its a small amount of materila USPS flat rate is a economical way to ship or if say under a hundred pounds or so I have found fedex has been shipper of choice. If shipping say a gaylord of material I would be happy to quote you to boardsort from your location but let me tell you unless you can take to a terminal or can ship from a commercial location freight is very expensive being picked up at a residential address. You can reach me anytime at 814-443-6389

Not sure when I will have enough to fill a gay lord so i will settle for smaller post for now. I do have access to a business warehouse location so i could get the discounted shipping for the gay lord if I had that much. I am mostly trying to understand what will and will not be accepted at certain grades. I will keep you in mind tho thank you.

20180930_195518.jpg Is peripheral
20180930_195307.jpg Is telco
With network switches it’s often hit or miss. In fact telco in general is a difficult grade.
Telco is designed to be the top of the mixed board classes. It’s better than the stuff below it but doesn’t fit the requirements for the type classes above it.
It’s a way to recognise occasionally some boards are are worth more than others.
In the listed comparison the (technologically) lower quality design of 07 with the implementation of the controllers as multiple chips adds to the value with the many extra chips; the more advanced design of 18 shoves into just two.

Thanks Lost thats the kind of assessment i was looking for! I know your grades are your own and might not reflect was BoardSort chooses but i would rather have an educated guess so i know how best to sort things and better prepare them for shipping. Also i am glad that i have more of the telecom grade ones then peripheral ones.

Now I need to ether find a good size box to ship them in or get enough boards to ship out a Gaylord's worth.

Shipping stuff has a few write ups from myself and others.
And I’ll do a more through write up in a bit for the help threads.

While most bulk shipping here talks of gayloards the pallet fits there too with ltl trucking too.

Fedex has “secret” accounts
The post office has “secret” boxes and “secret” services.
Ups will charge you more but makes you do less work.
