For AMD K6 chips:A small thin screwdriver and general finesse. They’re glued in the corners. So pop them off gently one corner at a time.
Risc chips tend to sell in waves. From what I’ve seen since 2018.
Some crypto site will do an article on the benefits of using these old chips in accelerator cards for mining. A big wave of readers will go on ebay and Amazon and buy them up. The market then cools down. Till the next article is written.

I specifically point out these intel chips (plus sun Sparc and 32-bit ARM) because there’s lots of workstation accelerator cards that support them.
PowerMacs and IBM PowerPC have seen a bit of an uptick for the same reason.
Be patient.
I’m guestimating but it looks to be about quarterly that these waves hit.
There’s a lot of hobby play going on to now. Making mini waves in random things. I made a miner from a VHS player (note, it will never actually mine a bitcoin).
Tech dirt just covered someone who turned a game boy into a miner. (Note, it will never mine a Bitcoin)
Game boys had a rush.
Be patient
