For the CPU chips, #1 is green fiber with metal. #2 and #3 are green fiber without metal.

Cell phone board #1 has some RF shielding that needs to come off before it can be considered clean. I would try using a small flathead screwdriver and safety gloves to try to lift the shielding on one or two sides, then pry with some pliers to remove. You can also try a heat gun to loosen the solder, but you risk desoldering the IC chips located underneath the shielding, which will devalue the board.

If you have whole phones, remove the batteries and sell them as-is. Other forum members that do scrap phones discovered and shared that the best profit from cell phones is by selling them without the batteries. The batteries can be purchased by boardsort, but you will need to consider if the payout for the batteries is worth the price to ship. If shipping, tape over the exposed contacts with electrical tape to prevent the batteries from shorting each other out and exploding during transport or upon arrival and processing at boardsort.

If the RF shielding is left on the board, the board will be purchased as a cell phone without battery.
