I have 84 of these.
I have never seen this kind of RAM before. When I saw the exterior I thought the (what looked like metal) was removable but it's not. It's actually part of the module.
Each module weighs 1.1oz. Would this still classify as regular unshielded RAM or go under shielded rambus ram?

SMT is a custom extreme environment designer. You only posted one side but the looks of the photos make it appear to be the single board design. Aluminium back with a board, wired to edge connectors against the shield. correct?
if so rambus.

Correct. But the circuitry is on both sides although I’m sure that doesn’t make a difference since there’s still a chunk of unremovable aluminum. Do you think these have any resale value? I looked up the serial number and not many companies (maybe 2) had them listed. Not even on eBay.

Almost zero resale.
First they’re non-standard. Meaning they can just be socketed into normal sockets. Even when they create standards-based modules they don’t fit correctly in consumer or business sockets.

Second the ram itself is high bin but still commodity ram. The modules are often Intel or Samsung. There’s not much in the market for recovering ram that common and inexpensive.

Sorry
