Why isn’t the one with gold fingers considered a gold finger card?

The backplane with the finger should get clean gold finger rate, that is what I have gotten for them in the past. And have put them there since.

A quick look back over the years of posts here and mixed replies... these are inconsistent.

*As far as my grading I’ve done backplane an any with two or more sockets.
Peripheral with only one.

AAK2 getting finger card constantly my be a fluke. Or may be correct.
I generally use my * grading and it just goes like that for my shipments.

I’ll again ask for Chris to reply. I’m sure he did just a short while ago on a similar extension board (poor Chris).

Every time one pops up I cringe. Lol.
Give Chris a bit to get back to us here. And maybe we can sticky and he thread this time. ;)

2 or more ports keeps any backplane at backplane. It’s a backplane

Backplane is based on gold plate rates where GFC is dependent on non-pin related factors.
