I was wondering why the last board in this post was graded as peripheral. I would think that it would be midgrade.

Because it’s borderline and at one point Chris had sad if you”see RCA” to consider it peripheral. I’ll go with that here since we have not only the ICs but two silver switches, gold plated jacks, and a gold pin audio 3.5 p port.

On a person opinion I’d knock the copper coil off just to be sure.

Should I just take a pair of pliers and twist it off (carefully of course). I don't want to accidentally damage/devalue the overall board.

Any other suggestions?

Gently twist and pull up. Then snip. Copper so soft. Decent pair of scissors can cut through eventually

Thanks, that worked well and was easy to do.

As a general rule is it ok to remove Inductors? Or will that harm the overall grade of a board?

You won’t hurt the grade if it’s obvious what it was.
Generally though don’t remove anything without being told to. I. Quick eye scanning as boards are weighed many times there’s not enough focus to see what was removed. So an obviously modified board with a missing component could be knocked out to midgrade even if it was a transformer that was removed.
