The gold fingers show slot processor classification. Does the metal flange need removing for slot processor?

High telco.

The gold finger actually start them as gold finger cards. Slot processors fit a very specific subset of gold finger cards.
The top one is either a serial card or video.

I’m not entirely sure what the second one is. I lean towards a memory expansion, the external port has me second guessing. Unless it’s a cartridge reader.

I was placing them as slot processors based on the weird double sets of fingers, like the fingers on the Pentium cards.

I follow. I’ve actually point out such finger design as being a slot processor key factor. Lol.

You are absolutely correct on the finger layout.
Unfortunately these aren’t slot processors despite the multi layered Fingers these cards will still fall outside of the slot processor class.

My bad news aside, any chance you’d be willing to post a shot at the side of the second card where the port/socket is? Trying to see if I can figure out what the port is for.
Just out of curiosity

The second card looks like a fiber NIC to me. It’s FDDI.
